While Claudia and the twins were at her parents for the week before Christmas, I took the opportunity to do some rearrangement of the rooms at home.

For the past 2 years, I had been working at a desk in the spare bedroom, crammed awkwardly between the wall and a double bed. Meanwhile, Evie had her own bedroom in the box room. And when the twins arrived, their cots were both in our bedroom.

As of last week, all three children are now in what was the spare bedroom, and Evie's old room has been turned into an office for me. It feels like a much more sensible arrangement, considering that I work from home pretty much permanently these days.

Of course, this all relies on Evie and the twins not waking each other up during naps or overnight. Early indications are promising, but we'll see how it goes.

Yours etc,
Patto
